My Experience so Far With Melodramas

Before this, I hadn’t had any experience with melodramas. I watched a lot of reality TV because I loved the drama in it. My only experience with telenovelas has been from people talking about them. My Spanish teacher used to talk about them and would sometimes use small clips to explain topics to us. I also had a friend who used to watch them and would reference them when I talked to her.  I decided to sign up for the class because watching melodramas sounded enjoyable to learn about, and so I could finally understand what telenovelas are about. While I had heard of Telenovelas I had never heard of Dizis. I had no idea that Turkey made melodramas of their own. This is partly why I chose to watch a dizi because I had no idea what they were like. I have watched episode one and half of episode two of Yargi; The Dizi Dr. A showed us about the attorney and prosecutor who fall in love, but his brother possibly killed her sister. I understand the cliffhanger struggle at the end of each episode now. I was going to watch just episode one, but they were about to announce the identity of the body to the attorney, so I had to keep watching to see her reaction. So far I’m really enjoying my introduction to dizis, and I’m excited to see what happens next in Yargi.
